Hello all, it's been a long time eh? One of my goals for 2018 is to spend more time blogging. I've never really understood the concept of blogging, so I'll give it my best!
I spent around 5 days straight inside my house recently and my wife convinced me to go outside. I took my son for a lunch date this past sunday and we walked around and took some photos together. Let me tell you, we both needed this. Some nice father and son bonding mixed with my love and his interest. I was shooting everything I saw with my trusty XT2 and he was using an old phone for his camera. I have found that I really enjoy using my 50mmf2 as a walk about lens. My loyalty will always lie with my 23mmf2, but the 50 gives such a dynamic look when comparing the two. Especially with that extra compression.
I don't know why, but lately I have thrown away most of the filters and presets I used to use. Maybe it's because they joy of using Fuji products has made me forget about all of that and concentrate on the moment. Or it could be the fact that even when editing RAW, Fuji lets you use it's color profiles in Lightroom. Either way, it's a great feeling. I actually think about what the images will look like in camera more than anything now. Below is my son taking an image of the scene.
Any who, I'm starting to ramble on. So here are a few more images I've taken of random things recently. Thanks for reading!
